Autism Recovery

Autism is disability that is diagnosed during one’s childhood. When a kid has autism they have trouble with mental capacity, communication skills, and behavioral skills. These kids also have unique strengths compared to other kids who are not diagnosed with the autism. There are many different kinds of autism's. There are many kinds of autism because autism causes because of genetic mutation. And there are many genes in human body, so the genetic can mutation can occur with any genes so that’s why there are many different autism as they can many mutations. Mostly autism is detected in children when kids are aged around 2 yrs. -3 yrs. The earliest the autism can be detected is early as 18 months. Mostly the autism signs are shown in ages 2 years and 3 years. 39% of the kids who are diagnosed with autism has seizure disorder and with the sleeping disorder. Also, these kids have disorder of Pica. Pica is disorder when the kids tend to eat things which are not food. They have tendency to eat dirt, chalk, and or paint. All the parents of these kids have tried many things to do improve their children’s health and for a good treatment that can cure their children. Overall, is there a treatment that can cure Autism?

They have been many studies that researchers did research on to see if autism can treatable and if kids can recover. An article from scientific American “Is it possible to Recover from Autism”, have explained that yes it possible to recover from autism. The researchers have held a study on children to see how it's curable. They have observed many children who were diagnosed with Autism and they recognized during an observation that these kids didn’t have these symptoms when they were older. The did not show the same symptoms when they grew older, they were able to communicate normally and behave normally. At the same time, they have noticed that these kids were recognized with the autism symptoms when they were young as 18 months. The researchers suggest that if the parents are able to recognize the symptoms early as 18 months of age they are able to cure the autism as they are grown as much.  Autism symptoms start to develop from 6 months of age, so there are lot of chances to recognize the symptoms earlier. After the age of 2 years, the children's organelles are developing lot more than a 18 months old child. As soon as the treatments starts at young age, the more chances there are to recover soon.

This topic became very interesting to me as I attended a neuroscience seminar at Loyola University Chicago, and Dr. Maggie Guy, talked about her research where she tested infants who are at 12 months old are at high risk of having autism. She observed all the infants who had family background of autism and see how they behaved. She noticed that infants with family background showed more symptoms of autism. At same time it is not necessary to higher symptoms with family back ground. But, if you are able to recognize the symptoms when the kids are very young there are lot of chances that autism can be recovered for these kids. Looking the both researchers I figured that there is definitely a cure for autism but if you recognize the symptoms when the kids are younger there are more chances of getting cure earlier than later.
